By visiting historic centre of Rio de Janeiro you will travel three centuries into the past. Wandering around the square will reveal lots of historical buildings and monuments which were built during the colonial period and so if you want to learn about the city’s history, this is the place to go.
At the square you’ll visit The Imperial Palace which is a monument which rises up to meet the skyline in this square and it is the old Viceroy Palace of Brazil. From there we will take a ferry boat across the bay into the future to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art designed by Oscar Niemeyer. The museum has three floors and a 817-square metre reflecting pool that surrounds the cylindrical base.
